A real SVG, not a PNG in disguise

Some converters "convert" a PNG by wrapping the same pixels in an SVG file. It has the right extension, but zoom in and it is still a blurry grid, and a cutting machine or laser sees nothing to follow. Vectorize.tools traces the image into paths: open the result in Inkscape or Illustrator and every shape has nodes you can move.

Transparency is kept

Transparent pixels in your PNG become empty space in the SVG, including holes inside shapes like the middle of an O. If your PNG has a solid white or coloured backdrop instead, turn on Remove plain background and it is dropped when it touches every edge.
