Where each one is the better choice
- Logos, icons, clip art, drawings, cut files: flat artwork with clear edges is what tracing handles best, and here it is free and private.
- Photos and detailed illustrations: here they come out as bold, poster-like art. Compare with the paid tools' free previews[1][7][8] before you subscribe.
- EPS, PDF or DXF output: open the SVG in Inkscape (free), which exports those formats[15].
Questions
Is there a catch?
No. The tracing runs on your device, so it costs nothing to serve and there is no reason to limit it.
Do I need an account?
No. Open the page, drop an image, download the SVG.
